Well my name is matilda. I'm a little girl. I don’t get on well with my father.
ReplyDeleteMy father and me are very different. I think he is very dishonest. He cheats people in order to sell them old and useless second hand cars. I think that the money he wins is dirty money. I was very disapointed when I first heard what my father did to sell cars. I think it is not good to hate parents, but in some moments I hate them, so I decided to punish them with some inoffensive jokes. I wanted revenge. One day I put superglue into my father’s hat so then he couldn’t take it off.
In my family we do not eat in the table and talk as every family does. We eat in font of the telly eating from our knees. My father is very jealous because I love reading and he can’t enjoy books. He is an ignorant. He doesn’t care about me. He forgot I had to start going to the school so I started when I was five and a half.
I could see that my father changes with my punishments so I am going to teach him how to behave with me. I’m his daughter not a little twit as he always says.
WHAT I KNOW ABOUT MATILDA-(Mrs. PHELS)
ReplyDeleteWell, I know matilda because every afternoon her mother was playing bingo and his father went to work, she stayed alone in her house. There she didn´t have something to read because his father had refuesed about buying her a book, so she set out all by herself to walk to the public library, where I´m working.
I´m very afraid about her because of the time she spend alone walking on the street. And worried because of the parents she has because they don´t take any care of her!
But on the other hand, I feel very sorprised of the interestings she had because she didn´t want child´s books with a lot of pictures, she was searching of something else, with more information and less pictures in it.
In conclusion, I´m very fascinated with this girl, really. I think she isn´t like the others kids, she is especial, very wise and brilliant.

As you know I have a daughter called Matilda, she's around 5 or 6 or 7, I really don't know. The truth is that I really don't care. She is part, the less important part kind of, of my great family. She isn't as nice and intelligent as his father but I can't ask her to be perfect..
She thinks she is smart, what an ilusion isn't it? But aparte of that she thinks she is important because she reads books. The telly is, obviously, better but as proud as she is she won't admit it. She is a cheater too. Last night I was with Michael (what a kid!) watching how much I've earn that day, which was a lot, and she heard our conversation and tryied to look wiser that she, of course, is and I think she looked at the paper with the results and told them as she have made the calculations, what an insolence! But she isn't as ruin as she looks like. She is afraid to ghost as me, I'm not proud of it but some of my genes she has. I think she doen't aprove what happened to my hair, what an accident, I realy wonder what had happenend that morning.
But after all she is my daughter and I have to accept her as she is bla bla bla.. But if she was as his father or at least as his brother she would be so different, for good of course..
Mr Wormwood.
3- My father is a stupid man. He is proud of himself but now I realise he is an ignorant like my mum.
ReplyDeleteThey see the telly during all the day, and they also eat in front of it. He doesn`t read books, how can an intelligent man as he said he is doesn´t read books?... He said he is intelligent because he wins a lot of many but he doesn`t know that making dirty money is cheating; he is so silly. Then he treated me as a cheater only for doing faster than my brother some mathematics calculs.
I was so angry that I make some jokes to him!...for example putting super glue in his hat, and gettimg scared because my house was suppoused haunted. He doesn´t know nothing about the important things of life.

ReplyDeleteOne day in the morning at school i met Matilda , a tiny girl with a serious face. I handed out a new exercises book to the chilren, it was a maltiplication's one , for the end of the week i expected everyone of them to knew the two times table . And i asked to the class if any o them have learnt it .Matilda put up her hand and began telling me all the two time table and i said her to stop , i asked her if she know another and she answer yes so i was really amazing , she was an extraordinary mathematical brain. She told me that she have learnt alone , none of her parents helped her.
At the afternoon i decided to had a conersation with Miss Trunchbull, the headmistress of the school. I wanted to said her how brillant was Matilda and that she had to upload her , she had to be with children of 11 years old. When i began talking how nice was Matilda she said me all the opposite things and some of them that i couldn't believe for example that the she was a dangerous girl . I tohought that It coludn't be truth becuase Matila was very sensible and very gentle with me. Miss Trunchball told me that all she had said, Mr wormwood said to her. And she let me know that her father was a pillar of the society.
The other day i lend Matilda some text books to study. While she was reading i decided to have a secret conversation with Matilda's parents. I saw how polite was Matilda that i didn't care what her father said about her.I didn't think that her parents were unaware of her daughter's talent. When i get into the house Mr wormwood didn't want to listen what indredible things i had to tell them about Matilda , for him was more important a tv programme than her daughter .
When i was talking to them i realised that they didn't care about her daughter. And they aren't proud of her brillant Matilda. One thing that i really get surprise was when her mother said me that it's more important looks than books because then you will have a goos life and a rich husband. I thought poor Matilda , i told them that Matilda colud be in 3 years in the university and her father said that university wasn't important.
So i told them that they don't have to despite clever people because when you get ill yo call a doctor that was graduated from the university.
Every thing is important, and if you can learn more it's a good way to have a succesful future.
sofiaa.. last weekend i post the comment .. matilda by miss honey and it said me that you have to approve.. did you do?

Matilda's description by Miss Honey
ReplyDeleteHello, I am Miss Honey. I want to share with you my happiness because this was the most incredible morning I ever had!
Today I went to the first day of school, Imet new children and I don' t know it was a common class! I was asking them some questions of math and they were okay. But there was a girl called Matilda, that she knew how to multuply up to high numbers! She knew how to read, and write! It was unvelaviable!! She even wrote me a limerick!I was very surprised! I mean watching a little girl knowing such things! It was fantastic!...
She was such a sweet, intelligent, and mature person that I had to do something with her!...I mean, put her in a higher level class. It tried to convince the headmistress, but she didn't let me do it. So now she is at my class and I bring her more advanced books so she learns more than she already knows.
Hi, I am Miss Honey, teacher of Crunchem Hall Primary School, and I wanted to tell youthat this has been the most surprising day of my life!
ReplyDeleteToday was the first day of school and I met the new 1st grade children. I asked them if someone knew the two-times table, and a girl called Matilda raised her hand. She started to recite them, but she wouldn't stop! She knew how to multuply up to high numbers! And then, she could read and write! I mean she wrote me a limerick! It was amazing! And, and...she read a lot of adult books! And she was just 5 1/2 years old!
She was so intelligent and mature thet she should have been in a higher levelgrade. Unfortunately the headmistress thught thet I wanted to get rid of her! So she wouldn't let me do it. So now I bring her more advanced books to read.
